CAIR attorney Ramsey Judah at Long Beach, California mosque: Do not cooperate with ICE; Everybody is at risk of being taken; lock the mosque doors, do not let them in your home, pretend everyone is sleeping, don't sign anything.
Ramsey Judah, a staff attorney with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), spoke at Masjid Al-Shareef in Long Beach, CA, on June 27, 2025, advising the community on how to handle ICE immigration raids. He said ICE is targeting mosques and urged the community to bring all members inside and "lock the doors" if they see ICE targeting the mosque for a raid, especially anyone "vulnerable to ICE."
He emphasized: "You do not have to open the doors to ICE." Judah also advised community members not to open their doors to ICE at private residences, saying: "We're all at risk," and recommended they pretend everyone is sleeping. He further warned against signing any documents presented by ICE agents.
Judah added that he himself is an American citizen who was "born in this colony."
