"The Lebanese authorities have acted more in the last six months than they have in the last 15 years. However, there is still a lot of work to be done."

Ortagus demanded that politicians in Lebanon make a decision and act, but also made it clear to them:

"We in the United States have called for the complete disarmament of Hezbollah. This does not only mean disarming Hezbollah from the south of the Litani, but also disarming Hezbollah throughout the country."
