Lebanese MP Nadim Gemayel said in an interview that was aired by Spot Shot (Lebanon) on August 31, 2023 that he would not support any war waged by Hezbollah against Israel and that he refuses to be dragged in to such a war. 

He elaborated that Hezbollah only cares about Israel, but that he cares about Lebanon. He also said that he would be willing to cooperate even with Satan in order to survive, and he stated that following the maritime border deal between Israel and Lebanon, there are a hundred ways to resolve disputes with Israel without involving weapons or rockets.

Q: In Lebanon's next war, will you back Hezbollah?

A: Absolutely not. I am against Hezbollah entering a military confrontation.

NEWSRAEL: The voices, mostly Christian, in Lebanon are becoming louder and more frequent against the war with Israel that the Hezbollah and Iran are planning. While this will not deter Hezbollah, it means that if they attack Israel, there will be many inside Lebanon that will fight them and send important intel to Israel.
