11 Iranian oil tankers stranded off Malaysian coast

Bloomberg reports that 11 oil tankers that the US government has sanctioned have stopped or are moving at very low speed off the coast of Malaysia. According to the report, some of the ships have been floating in the area for more than a month.

Just to put it into perspective: That’s almost 17 million barrels of oil!

Iran appears to be struggling to export oil under Trump’s maximum pressure policy, despite the mistake that they have no effect.
