An Iranian regime-linked professor hailed Zohran Mamdani's New York City election victory as the realization of the 1979 U.S. Embassy takeover, crediting Iran's mullahs for helping bring it to fruition.

“40+ years later, in New York, we should not underestimate the role played by Iran's Islamic Republic in this.”
