Newly revealed documents from the Wall Street Journal show that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak met with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein at least 36 times between 2013 and 2017.
These meetings, recorded in Epstein’s personal calendar, occurred well after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution. The documents also show that Barak flew on Epstein’s private jet on multiple occasions and held monthly meetings with him starting in late 2015.
While no allegations of wrongdoing have been made against Barak, the frequency and timing of the meetings have raised serious questions.
Barak, who has previously acknowledged ties with Epstein, claimed that all interactions were related to financial and philanthropic ventures, including investments in Israeli tech companies.
