South America’s political transformation shows that hostility toward Israel was never inevitable—it was the product of radical governments, foreign influence and ideological alliances that can be reversed.
For years, much of Latin America became fertile ground for Iran, Russia and China. Radical regimes condemned Israel, supported anti-American movements and allowed Hezbollah and Hamas networks to operate across the continent.
Now the political map is changing.
Countries including Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Bolivia are moving toward governments that view Israel as an ally rather than an enemy. Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama are also part of an increasingly pro-Israel regional bloc.
