Israeli special forces carried out a raid on an Iranian weapons facility in Syria, according to Israeli media reports. The raid in Syria’s Maysaf area is said to have occurred during IDF’s airstrikes on military sites in western Syria on Sept. 8.
IDF’s special forces destroyed a missile factory used by IRGC under the cover of airstrikes, multiple Hebrew media.
Syrian state media had said at least 18 people were killed and 40 others were injured in the airstrikes. Damascus condemned the airstrikes as "blatant aggression” and the Iranian foreign ministry also condemned the attack, calling it "criminal."
Local Syrian media reported at the time that the strikes hit a scientific research center in Masyaf.
