WATCH The Rooster: NEW IDF Hybrid Robotic Drone System

This drone is designated for commando units, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, as well as tactical combat. It is already in use by the IDF and military forces worldwide

IsraelDefense has learned that the IDF is employing a hybrid robotic drone called "Rooster" during its fighting in the Gaza Strip. The drone is manufactured by the Israeli company Robotican, a developer and manufacturer of autonomous robots and drone systems.

The Rooster is designated for commando units and special forces for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions and tactical combat, and is already in use by The IDF and various militaries worldwide.
According to Robotican, the Rooster hybrid drone is a groundbreaking solution that seamlessly combines ground robotics and drone capabilities to redefine indoor and underground infrastructure reconnaissance.

Specially designed to cater to the unique requirements of combat military units and special forces, the Rooster marks a significant advancement in versatility, safety, and operational effectiveness.
The Rooster boasts up to 15 minutes of flying time and 40 minutes of rolling time, with an average working time of up to 90 minutes. The drone effortlessly transitions between flying in the air and rolling on the ground, ensuring adaptability to any terrain.

Capable of rolling over all types of terrain and flying over obstacles, the Rooster is a fusion of ground mobility and aerial capabilities, easily hovering over staircases, furniture, or windows. It is equipped with a special cage that prevents damage that might be caused by in-flight collisions with obstacles.
The Rooster can be customized with a range of payloads, such as thermal cameras, gas sensors, and radiation sensors, adapting to multiple mission requirements.
The company says that the Rooster finds applicability across a diverse spectrum of missions, encompassing anti-terrorism operations, indoor crime scenarios, hostage situations, urban battlegrounds, search and rescue missions, as well as inspection tasks, among others. The Rooster can operate in communication-deprived environments, making it an ideal choice for missions in locations such as buildings, ships, bunkers, and underground facilities.

Robotican's CEO, Hagai Balshai, says: "Our satisfied end-users are sharing how much the Rooster system contributes to the battlefield and is an important tactic tool for combating wisely and reducing casualties. With its operational and observational capabilities above and below the ground, the system achieves success goals during the battle."

No response was received from the Robotican regarding the use of the Rooster in the Gaza Strip.
