Military analyst Koloritis claims that armed factions have successfully severed the roads between Raqqa-Hama and Aleppo-Hama while expanding their control in the Hama province in recent days.
She explained the implications of this development: “We are talking about extensive areas that include significant centers of influence for the Iranian Quds Force and Hezbollah, in addition to weapon storage facilities and production sites that served as a strategic stockpile for Hezbollah in Lebanon, particularly those located in the Al-Safira region in the Aleppo countryside, as well as in the Shiite cities of Nubul and Zahra."
The expert expressed her belief that "Hezbollah, based on battlefield data, has lost hope of rearming from Assad regime warehouses, as Damascus's needs for ammunition and weapons are increasing."
Additionally, other military analysts have noted that the advancement of rebel forces from the Aleppo area, through Hama towards Homs and Damascus, poses a serious threat to the Iranian land bridge from Tehran to Lebanon via Iraq and Syria.
Currently, the Iranian land bridge remains operational, but as the rebels advance southward, the window for "uninterrupted operations" is closing.
The Iranians have begun to significantly reduce arms transfers through the land bridge due to fears that they might fall into rebel hands. Arms transfers to Syria and Hezbollah are now occurring sparingly through the Russian Khmeimim base in northwestern Syria.
Moreover, the Israeli blockade is fully operational and adversely affects Iran's logistical capabilities.
