Lebanon’s President calls to begin talks with Israel

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said Beirut must begin negotiations with Israel, stressing that “Lebanon cannot go against the current direction of the Middle East.”

Speaking to economic reporters, Aoun said, “We must take part in regional efforts to resolve conflicts so we don’t face another war, killing, and displacement.”

Aoun noted that Lebanon should learn from the maritime border agreement with Israel to resolve other disputes. Referring to Gaza, he added that “war has led to no result — just as Israel understood and began talks with Hamas — so too must we begin negotiations, when the time is right.”

I don’t believe Israel “began talks with Hamas”. But, Israel should not be negotiating with a government that harbors murdering savages- Hizbollah. Savages need to be disarmed, security zone set.
