Report: Trump administration diverted drone defense tech from Ukraine to U.S. forces in the Middle East

The Wall Street Journal reports that the Trump administration redirected key drone defense technology originally intended for Ukraine to protect U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East.

The technology involves special proximity fuses installed in rockets used by the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System. Ukraine had been using these fuses to defend against Russian drones.

However, the Pentagon informed Congress that the fuses would be diverted to the U.S. Air Force due to an urgent need to protect American personnel from drone attacks by Iran or the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The reason these systems exist is to protect US troops. The middle east is where they will be most needed. Ukraine has Europe, Israel only has the US. We will need them when we attack Iran. 🇮🇱🇺🇸
