Syrian security services are said to be hunting Hezbollah 'sleeper-cells' in Damascus.
Hezbollah operatives who inhabited entire areas of Damascus, especially near the Shiite shrine in the Al-Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood, fled with the fall of the Assad regime and its flight to Russia.
Even so - the new regime led by Al-Julani claims that many Hezbollah operatives still remain throughout the area, including those with Syrian citizenship, who have stockpiled weapons and explosives and are planning to sow chaos in the near future in the capital with the intention of undermining the already fragile stability of the new regime.
Following intelligence information received by the new regime's security organizations, the security forces launched a large-scale hunt for these operatives, concentrating especially on the Al-Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood, but not only.
