He is Muslim Brotherhood, just like his famous father, Hamas (Sinwar, Haniyeh, Mashaal), Qatar's and Turkey's rulers.
Abdulrahman al-Qardawi, an Egyptian activist facing charges of incitement to violence and terrorism in Cairo, was apprehended by Lebanese security forces after crossing the porous border from Syria. This information comes from two judicial and one security official who requested anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Al-Qardawi, who has been living in Turkey, is a vocal critic of the Egyptian government. He reportedly traveled to Syria to participate in celebrations following the downfall of Bashar al-Assad.
His late father, Youssef al-Qaradawi, was a prominent and controversial cleric associated with the banned Muslim Brotherhood, having spent many years in exile in Qatar.
No wonder he is wanted, he even says in the footage, that the Arab Spring was the tool [of Muslim Brotherhood] to topple the Arab regimes and now that they were victorious in Syria, that Egypt, Tunisia, etc, are next.
Lebanon will have to hand him to Egypt, although other countries are also requesting to hand him over, such as UAE. Legally, only Egypt has filed a lawsuit against him and has a subpoena.
