Russia and Syrian jets have begun attacks on the rebels in Idlib.
Idlib was until now, the main base for the Sunni Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
NEWSRAEL: While the gains of the HTS today have been substantial and dramatic - they are still at a disadvantage against Russia (and Iran). In the meantime, both enemy sides here are screaming at each other "Allah hu Akhbar!" ... Allah must be confused...
