In a dramatic twist during a police raid in Nazareth, 400,000 shekels ($110,000) were thrown from a house window as officers closed in on a suspect affiliated with a northern criminal organization.
The operation, carried out on Friday, aimed to crack down on organized crime in Arab communities.
Officers arriving at the suspect’s residence saw bundles of money being tossed from the window. Upon inspection, they found bundles of cash totaling 400,000 shekels ($110,000) scattered outside. A further search of the home revealed drugs, foreign currency, and luxury jewelry, all of which were seized.
The raid also uncovered property belonging to a Palestinian who was in Israel without proper permits. Both suspects were taken for questioning, and the investigation is ongoing.
