IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says Israel must remain ready for rapid escalation across all fronts.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir opened this morning’s General Staff assessment by marking 1,000 days since the outbreak of the longest war in Israel’s history.
Zamir said the war began with “the failure and the most terrible disaster in the history of the State of Israel,” but added that from that disaster Israel recovered and led a campaign that brought “unprecedented achievements” in the country’s history.
He said Iran remains the central focus of IDF readiness, warning that Israel is currently in an interim period across all combat arenas. According to Zamir, all fronts remain active at varying levels of intensity, and developments in one arena can influence the others.
