Ugandan defense chief warns Iran that the African nation will not permit the Islamic Republic to threaten Israel’s existence, offers to join US-Israel campaign against Iran.
The head of the Ugandan military has offered to join in the war against Iran, warning Tehran that it will not tolerate threats to Israel’s existence.
In a flurry of posts beginning Wednesday, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba said that while his country prefers that the war in the Middle East be ended, Uganda is prepared to join the conflict in support of Israel.
“We want the war in the Middle East to end now,” Kainerugaba wrote on his X account. “The world is tired of it. But any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!”
