According to the official statement, internal security forces in the Quneitra province — in cooperation with Syria’s General Intelligence Directorate — uncovered and dismantled the plot, which was intended to destabilize the region.

The terrorists reportedly planned to use a civilian commercial vehicle as a disguised mobile launch platform to fire rockets. Two members of the cell were arrested, while efforts are ongoing to capture a third operative involved in the plot.

This development follows earlier indications that Syrian authorities have recently taken steps to prevent Hezbollah operations on their soil, including attempts to launch attacks against Israel on behalf of Iran during the ongoing conflict.
