Since the outbreak of the war, there has been an increase in the number of people wishing to immigrate to Israel
The numbers indicate that since October 7, 2023 there has been a steady increase in the number of immigrants to Israel.

The number of new immigrants arriving in Israel continued to increase through the start of 2024, with a jump in March of 3,074 new immigrants!
According to the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, since the outbreak of the war, a total of 12,745 people have immigrated to Israel, including about 8,300 from Russia, about 900 from the United States, about 400 from France and a similar number from Ukraine. Additional immigrants came from many countries from around the world, such as Cyprus, Belarus, Argentina, South Africa, Colombia, Australia and more.
The age range of the immigrants is wide and varied, for example, alongside about 850 immigrants of retirement age, about 1,500 elementary and high school students arrived.
Aliyah brings with it immeasurably important human capital: Close to 800 of the immigrants work in technological engineering, almost 500 of them are in the high-tech world, the total number of economists and accountants who arrived during this period is also about 800, about 270 doctors chose to relocate to Israel, and more.
It should also be noted that in the last six months since the outbreak of hostilities, 8 aerospace engineers, 8 choreographers and directors, 5 school principals, 5 film editors, 2 aircraft officers, 2 midwives, 1 astronomer, one cattle breeder and even one weather forecaster have immigrated to Israel - who we hope will predict pleasant weather for the upcoming Passover holiday!
The Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption, which is preparing for the waves of Aliyah that have begun since October 7, 2023, welcomes all immigrants, strives to hold immigration fairs and events for the immigration of additional Jews from around the world, and works for the optimal absorption of all immigrants who choose to settle in the Land of Israel.
The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration is also aware of the increase in the opening of immigration files from Western countries. For example:
In France there was a dramatic increase of 244% in requests to open files in preparation for an increase during the war compared to last year.
In addition, there was a significant increase in file openings among Canadian Jews – 98%.
Among American Jews there was an increase of 84%.
