Poland's New Rosomak Fighting Vehicle Featuring Israeli Spike-LR Missile Launcher

In August 2023 Poland purchased hundreds of Spike-LR anti-tank missiles worth about $100 million intended for integration into ZSSW-30 turrets of the Rosomak vehicle, and also on the new Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles.

The Polish military recently unveiled an advanced version of the Rosomak 8×8 multi-role vehicle, carrying Israeli Rafael's Spike-LR anti-tank guided missiles launcher.

Defense-blog.com website reports that the 18th Mechanized Division released photos that showcased the combat capabilities of the new Rosomak, which is based on Patria’s AMV product family, equipped with a remote-controlled turret system called ZSSW-30, featuring a Spike missile launcher.

These photos confirm what we reported in August 2023 (https://www.israeldefense.co.il/en/node/59164) about Poland purchasing hundreds of Spike-LR anti-tank missiles worth about $100 million intended for integration into ZSSW-30 turrets of the Rosomak vehicle, and also on the new Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles.

The ZSSW-30 was equipped with an ATK MK44 Bushmaster II 30mm cannon with a 200-round ammunition supply and a 7.62mm machine gun with a 400-round ammunition supply. It also featured a stabilized observation and aiming system for the commander and gunner, including a panoramic commander’s sight. Furthermore, the “unmanned” turret is armed with Israeli Spike-LR anti-tank guided missiles, with each ZSSW-30 set to carry two ready-to-fire missiles.
