According to an Arab report, officials in the energy sector in Jordan fear that Israel will soon reduce the supply of natural gas to the kingdom.
Some sources claim that since the war began a month ago, Israel has sporadically reduced the quantities. This has not been verified.
It should be noted that 95% of the natural gas in Jordan used to produce electricity in Jordan originates in Israel, therefore without Israeli gas there will be an electricity shortage in Jordan.
The fear in Jordan is that Israel will "punish" them by withholding gas in light of the growing Jordanian anger for the Gaza war.
Just yesterday, the Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Hasauna, stated that the kingdom is considering taking measures against Israel if the fighting does not stop. Last week, Jordan returned its ambassador from Tel Aviv.
