Syria: ISIS planning major surprise attacks in key cities
A commander in the New Syrian Army revealed to the pro-Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that ISIS is planning large-scale, surprise military operations by simultaneously seizing several neighborhoods in key cities, with Homs as the starting point.
The Syrian commander explained that ISIS aims to take control of holy sites, places of worship, and religious temples in order to embarrass the Syrian government and demonstrate that the country is not secure.
