WATCH: Evidence of Jewish roots in their ancient homeland is everywhere in Israel

An Israeli tour guide in Jaffa compares an ancient Roman "Judea Capta" coin with a modern Israeli commemorative coin to illustrate national rebirth.

In this video shot in Jaffa, Michael Dickson the Executive Director of StandWithUs Israel interviews Israeli tour guide Ley about two historic coins that symbolize the story of the Jewish people in their ancestral homeland.

The first is an ancient Roman coin minted under Emperor Vespasian to celebrate the destruction of Judea and the Second Temple 2,000 years ago.

The second is a modern commemorative coin minted around 1948 that reinterprets that historical imagery to symbolize the return, rebuilding, and continuous roots of the Jewish state.
