A Palestinian source reports that in recent days Hamas has been refurbishing “residential tunnels” and “defensive tunnels” across the Gaza Strip, while simultaneously integrating members of its military wing into civilian structures ahead of the entry of a proposed technocratic committee.
According to the report, operatives from Hamas’ military wing have begun teaching Quran and history classes in Gaza schools as part of a broader effort to embed within the education system.
At the same time, Hamas has reportedly dissolved its internal security forces and intelligence apparatus, reassigning personnel into “civil defense” and the civilian “blue police,” and is now demanding their incorporation into a future security and police framework to be operated by technocrats.
