BREAKING: Manhattan high-rise evacuated over collapse fears

A Midtown Manhattan office tower near Grand Central Terminal was evacuated Tuesday morning after falling bricks raised fears that the building could collapse.

New York City firefighters responded at approximately 8:00 a.m. to reports of bricks falling from the high-rise on East 42nd Street.

Authorities ordered the building evacuated while emergency crews assessed its structural stability. The tower previously housed offices belonging to pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.

The incident remains under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.
