Sudan accuses UAE and Ethiopia of drone attacks on Khartoum
Sudan has accused the UAE and Ethiopia of involvement in drone attacks that targeted Khartoum International Airport and nearby military sites on May 4.
According to Sudan’s armed forces and government, the drones were launched from Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar Airport using equipment linked to the UAE. Sudanese officials said they have “conclusive evidence” from drones that were shot down.
In response, Sudan recalled its ambassador from Ethiopia for consultations and warned that it may respond militarily. Sudan described the strikes as “direct aggression,” raising fears of a wider regional escalation.
