A London-based Iranian political analyst openly called on the Iranian regime to threaten the destruction of Dubai’s iconic landmarks and to intensify internal repression if war breaks out with the US.
In an interview on the “Jedaal” YouTube channel, Ali Alizadeh said Iranian officials should publicly declare their intention to topple the Burj Khalifa, burn businesses in Dubai to the ground, and dream of destroying the UAE’s desalination plants. He argued that such rhetoric should be broadcast on Iranian state television in order to “terrify the enemy,” urging what he described as “tough talk and decisive action” against the UAE.
Alizadeh also addressed Iranian oligarchs who allegedly use UAE-based “trustee” networks to bypass sanctions. He said their assets should be repatriated to Iran and suggested that, if necessary, their parents should be arrested to pressure them into returning funds.
In addition, he warned that in the event of war with the US, the regime’s domestic crackdown would intensify dramatically. He claimed that if President Trump were to incite protests during wartime, the regime would consider it legitimate and its duty to kill protesters.
