Even within Iran, it is already difficult to understand the real number. Just a few days ago, reports appeared in the Persian media stating that about 60 passenger planes "went out of service" during the war. 

Now the secretary of the Iranian Airlines Association, Maksoud Asadi-Samani, comes and tries to downplay the extent of the damage. According to him, reports of damage to 40 to 60 planes “are not correct” and the “realistic” estimate is that only about 20 planes were severely damaged. 

According to the same line, Iran's civilian aviation fleet currently numbers about 250 to 300 planes, of which about 150 were active before the war and now about 130 remain in service.
