The Washington Post today published an audio clip in which an Israeli intelligence officer is heard calling a commander in the Revolutionary Guards and warning him in Persian:

"I'm telling you now: You have 12 hours to escape with your family or else, you're on our list."

"We are very close to you. Get that into your head."

The newspaper added that similar calls were made to more than 20 senior military officials and nuclear scientists.

Some of the calls were made directly to members of the regime, some to their spouses, and some via notes left at the door of their homes.
