Syrian army: Israel attacked various Iranian targets near the city of Aleppo
The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that Israel carried out an air strike from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia in northwestern Syria, on several military sites south of the city of Aleppo.
A military official said that the Israeli attack caused some damage to the buildings. However, local sources reported that Israeli missiles attacked a farm between the villages of al-Dhabiya and Sheikh Said in the area of the al-Nairab military airport, where warehouses and headquarters of the Iranian militias are located.
In addition, a missile fell in the area of Aleppo International Airport, without causing any damage to the airport. In the aforementioned area, 6 intense explosions occurred, and the attack resulted in the death and injury of 7 people.
Dozens were killed and wounded in the ranks of the pro-Iranian militias as a result of Israeli airstrikes near the Syria-Iraq border, after midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Informed sources also confirmed that 19 militants were killed in attacks that targeted a convoy belonging to pro-Iranian factions after it entered Syrian territory from Iraq, in addition to the fact that its headquarters, a military shipment and an ammunition depot in Albu Kamal and its village area were attacked.
With the possibility that the number of dead will rise, since there are more than 18 wounded, some of them in a serious condition. The Lebanese Hezbollah also paid tribute to four of its fighters, who, according to activists close to the organization, were killed in Albu Kamal.
