Officials across the region are rushing to issue statements, but the reality remains unchanged: Iran is still trying to dictate the agenda
Tehran continues to support its proxy forces, its nuclear ambitions have not disappeared, its ballistic missile program remains active, the ayatollah regime is still in power, and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
Israel and the US have achieved significant results, but the campaign is far from complete. At most, perhaps 20% of the work needed across the different fronts has been accomplished. Tactical successes should not be mistaken for a strategic victory while the central Iranian threat and the network surrounding it remain intact.
This is the time to intensify operations against Iran’s proxies. Alongside the campaign against Hezbollah, Israel should deliver a powerful blow against the Houthis, who continue to serve Tehran’s regional strategy and threaten international shipping, Israel and allied states.
