Minister of Aliyah and Integration Ofir Sofer attended the fair, stressing Israel’s support for French Jewry. “We are closely following developments with concern. The initiative for recognizing a Palestinian state originates in Paris, and it rewards our enemies, who have been dealt heavy blows but may see this as a spark of hope. Israel stands with French Jews and calls on them to return home,” he said.
