According to informed sources, during the last few days, Hezbollah began to establish and open new border crossings of its own between Syria and Lebanon, near the town of Qara in the rural area of western Damascus.
The sources said that the militia began to prepare a special crossing for commanders and members entering and leaving from Syria to Lebanese territory and vice versa, and noted that the crossing is located near the "Al-Sheikh Ali" valley, which is about 11 km from the town of Kara.
According to the sources, the crossing was established after instructions received from Hezbollah's high command in Damascus and its villages, regarding the need to open 3 new "illegitimate" crossings that would connect Syria to the territory of Lebanon and be used for smuggling operations and movement between the two countries.
The sources added that the second crossing is 15 kilometers from the town of Qara, on the administrative border between the Rif Damascus district and the Homs district, and is intended for trucks, and will be used to smuggle weapons, ammunition and military equipment.
The third crossing is located near the area of "Hasiya" in the rural area of the Homs district, and is intended for smuggling fuel, drugs and other materials away from the military activity.
The sources reported that Hezbollah assigned 16 of its members to each crossing to prepare it and erect barriers and cement blocks, in addition to the arrival of dozens of trucks loaded with asphalt and sand to pave the roads connecting the new crossings.
