WATCH: Is the cold peace between Egypt and Israel in jeopardy?

Following Israeli strikes on Hamas leaders in Doha, Qatar, Arab leaders convened to formulate a response, with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi warning that the cold peace between Egypt and Israel would be in jeopardy if the attacks continued.

At the emergency summit in Doha, Arab and Muslim leaders gathered in response to Israel’s latest strike in Qatar.

In a rare and dramatic statement, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi warned that the historic peace agreement with Israel is in danger — a development that could shake the entire region.

Egypt has always considered Israel an enemy, peace treaty or not. The cold peace was a document of convenience for both sides. I do not believe that Sisi’s empty threats will go anywhere. It a show
