After the war broke out in Ukraine all eyes were on the Western powers as they looked to punish Vladimir Putin and Russia. However, Germany was especially in focus as the biggest economy in Europe had the most power to affect Russia.

But despite all its steps Germany refused to stop its oil payments even after pressure from the US.
