The Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia has rejected a request from regime forces and the National Defense Militia to involve forces from Iran's loyalist Shiite militias in scanning and attacking ISIS forces in the eastern desert of Deir a-Zour.

Informed sources told Syria TV that "Iranian militias refused to send their units from the city of Al-Bukhamal to Badiat (desert) al-Salhiya and al-Dwar, informing regime forces that the attacks against regime forces and the" National Defense militia were caused by internal conflicts between militia commanders. 

The regime's military outposts and its supporting militias are under constant attack in the eastern areas of Deir a-Zour, and the regime blames the Islamic State (ISIS) organization for these attacks.

Earlier this year, the Syrian regime announced the killing of five fighters from its forces in an attack on a bus in the Syrian Badia area.
Since the beginning of last year, ISIS attacks have been carried out daily against the positions of regime forces, Iranian militias and local militias in Syrian Bedouin, killing and wounding dozens of fighters, in addition to the fact that ISIS has managed to loot large quantities of weapons and ammunition from the attacked sites.
