Demonstrations against Erdogan's policies continue this evening, even after police raided houses and arrested some 1,300 people today.

In Turkey, a number of reports emerged today that Erdogan, through the mediation of Al-Julani, may activate Muslim extremists from organizations such as Al-Qaeda to confront the protesters against him.
Last night, Al-Rayas (jihadi black banners) supporters of İBDA-C (a Turkish Islamist organization that is pro-Al-Qaeda and said to be funded by Erdogan) stormed the Şezdabashi Mosque in Istanbul, after Imamoglu supporters supposedly "deliberately left beer cans there".
