This is a look behind the scenes inside AMAN, and the moment when a visual-intelligence drone feed crossed the command-center screens and became historic footage.
What began as a routine day quickly turned into a real operational opportunity. After months of tracking and intelligence gathering, one of Hezbollah’s most important figures was eliminated within an hour.
For months, AMAN soldiers had been closely monitoring Hezbollah’s chief of staff, terrorist Haitham Ali Tabatabai, known internally as “Tabtab.”
Tabatabai joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and became a central figure in the terror group. He held top positions, including commander of the Radwan Force and head of operations. During last year’s “Northern Arrows,” he effectively ran Hezbollah’s war effort, and afterward was appointed chief of staff — a role he held until his elimination.
