IDF forces eliminated a one-kilometer underground route used by Hamas terrorists east of the Yellow Line in northern Gaza.
Forces from the Northern Brigade launched a focused brigade-level operation about a month ago to destroy Hamas underground terrorist infrastructure in the northern Gaza Strip, east of the Yellow Line.
During the activity, troops uncovered and demolished a significant underground route approximately one kilometer long. Inside the tunnel, forces located explosive devices and several stay-rooms that had been used by Hamas terrorists. The operation is part of the ongoing effort to dismantle Hamas’ extensive subterranean network, which has been used for movement, weapons storage, command activity, and attacks against Israeli forces and communities.
The destruction of this route further degrades Hamas’ operational capabilities in northern Gaza and reduces its ability to use underground infrastructure as a strategic asset.
