A British ship has arrived in order to drill for gas slightly south of the "Kana" gas field (marked in red on the right of the map). The Kana field is at the center of the demands of the Lebanese. The new drilling vessel is now in the area marked in yellow on the map.

In other words, Israel will not blink and continues to carry out further operations within the area south of point 23 and north of point 29 which Israel claims (and the UN concurred) is in Israeli waters.

It can be estimated that this was done with full support and coordination with the Americans in light of Hochstein's recent visit to Lebanon.
