The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Wasim Mansouri (pictured), stated that the crisis the country is suffering from "has not been like it in the world in the last 150 years".
In a meeting with the editors of the newspapers in Lebanon, Mansuri wondered: "Isn't it appropriate that all Lebanese politicians work to solve this, to put aside all the differences and conflicts between them, for the sake of Lebanon and for the solution of the people's problems?"
He pointed out three "golden steps" that will lead to Lebanon's recovery - fixing the economy, the banking sector and the conditions of the depositors," and added: "If we do not work to implement these three steps together, we will not achieve a result."
Mansouri emphasized that if the banking sector does not recover, the Lebanese economy has no chance of growing.
