The "Israeli slander" of Erdogan's son

An uproar in Turkey after investigative journalist Mateen Jehan published a post on social media in which he claimed that a ship indirectly belonging to Burak Erdogan, the son of the Turkish president, unloaded cargo in the port of Haifa last month.

Burak Erdogan is a senior businessman in Turkey and the publication caused great embarrassment to him and his father the president who has been attacking Israel severely since the war in Gaza began. It should be noted that since the fighting began, a popular campaign against trade relations with Israel has been underway in Turkey.

In response to the publication, the Erdogan family announced that they filed a complaint against the journalist for defamation and insult and are interested in having an investigation opened against him by the authorities. Nevertheless, the journalist stands his ground.
