Imam Abdul Alim Musa, the director of Masjid Al-Islam Washington, D.C., said in a Friday sermon that was posted on As-Sabiqun DC on YouTube on February 25, 2022 that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was justified because the Russians are fighting Nazis in Ukraine. He explained that while only "two or three" American soldiers were killed by the Germans in WWII, 28 million Russians were killed by the Germans, and therefore their invasion to fight the growing "Nazi party" in Ukraine is justified.

Musa also said that Western claims that there is a genocide against Muslims in China are "not true" and that in fact, he claimed that Muslims are permitted to have as many children as they like.

He further said that Taiwan belongs to China and that the Taiwanese are not the "good guys" because they are "with the Americans."
