Quebec is taking aim at Islamic assertion of dominance
This Fox News story about the controversy tries to exonerate Islam from any responsibility for the behavior of the Muslims who are engaging in public prayer.
Mathew Giagnorio quotes a saying attributed to Muhammad forbidding praying in the road, and writes that “prayer must not endanger others or disrupt public order. Even Islamic law recognizes the folly of obstructing communal life with ritual performance. Quebec, in other words, is not contradicting Islam but upholding a principle embedded within it.”
That is not actually the case. “Islam must dominate and is not be dominated,” said Muhammad (Sahih Al-Jami 2778). The public prayer is a display of that dominance and supremacy.
