Oded Eilam, former head of the Mossad’s counterterrorism division and a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs and Security, told Kan Reshet Bet that the blockade on Iran is “the most effective thing that exists.”

According to Eilam, if the pressure continues for another two months, Iran’s economy could collapse past the point of no return.

He explained that the Iranian regime depends almost entirely on oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz. If that export route remains under sustained pressure, the regime will face what he described as the final bleeding of its economic lifeline.
