Iran's Oil Minister Javad Oji claimed that Iran's oil and petrochemical exports have reached the highest level since the Trump US government withdrew from the JCPOA nuclear agreement in 2017.
Mr. Oji, speaking at the oil industry's Hazara Besigians on Tuesday, did not provide detailed statistics on his claim.
He added that this increase is the result of "the efforts of the oil industry workers and the country's armed forces."
The Islamic Republic's oil minister did not elaborate further on the role of the armed forces in increasing Iran's oil and gas exports.
This claim that exports are at a peak clashes with the fact that America has imposed severe sanctions against the Islamic Republic, particularly on Iran's banking and oil sectors, after withdrawing from the JCPOA.
