Spain is currently the most anti-Israel Western country in the context of the war in the Gaza Strip.
Spain has imposed sanctions on Israel and is working to remove it from international forums. However, it turns out that at the same time, the same Spain has no problem maintaining close cooperative relations with the murderous dictatorship of the Ayatollah regime in Iran, including in sensitive areas.
Today it was reported that the head of the financial intelligence unit in Iran, Hadi Khani, met with the Spanish ambassador in Tehran, Antonio Sánchez, and discussed ways to cooperate in the fight against financial crime.
Khani, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Economy, claimed that Iran's efforts in combating money laundering "exceed international standards" despite the sanctions.
