Political tensions in France are escalating in light of growing calls for the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron.

According to polls, most citizens in France support the president's resignation, but at the moment there is no indication that he will actually resign.

NTD international affairs correspondent David Vives says that for now, most political leaders are waiting to see what Macron's new prime minister, François Bayrou, will do.
