NEWSRAEL: This report gives the impression that the USA and Trump is "angered" at Israel. Our opinion is that the US knew of the attack.
The Wall Street Journal revealed new details on Israel’s strike in Doha targeting senior Hamas leaders. Citing U.S. officials, the report said Israeli F-15 and F-35 jets launched long-range ballistic missiles from the Red Sea toward Qatar.
The operation, conducted Tuesday, was designed to avoid Arab airspace, leaving the Trump administration in the dark until minutes before impact. U.S. defense sensors tracked the missiles’ trajectory, but Israel only alerted the Pentagon moments before launch, without giving specifics on the target. A senior U.S. defense official told the paper the notification came “so close to the actual firing that there was no way to cancel or stop it.”
U.S. Central Command notified Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Keane, who informed the White House. President Donald Trump then instructed his envoy, Steve Witkoff, to warn Qatar, but the message arrived about 10 minutes after the missiles hit. The White House later cited Trump’s post on Truth Social: “The unilateral bombing of Qatar, a sovereign state and close U.S. ally, serves neither Israel nor America’s interests.”
